Recreational soccer is JUSA's largest program, with 2 seasons, Fall and Spring. We celebrated our 50th year of providing a fun and inclusive, youth soccer program to our North Orange County communities in 2024.
All registered players are organized onto a team of all skill levels, in the city that best fits for them. Learn more about our programs below!
JUSA FALL Recreational Program (Spring has slightly different numbers) - Division Progression
Recreation means:
Every player in U5-U14 registered by deadline will get on a team, provided that there are enough volunteer coaches. JUSA makes every effort to support our volunteers so that as many kids can play each season as possible.
Every player is guaranteed fair playing time.
Most games are local. At the younger ages, teams play within either Anaheim, Placentia, or Yorba Linda. By U12 & U14, there are not enough teams to keep games in one city, so teams may travel a bit.
Costs are low. The total cost for insurance, uniforms, pictures, awards, field maintenance, referee fees, team parties, banners, and overhead is hundreds of dollars less than Club programs.
No Paid Coaches. Recreation teams are coached only by parent volunteers. (JUSA provides licenses, training and equipment.)
Current Chelsea SC, US Club, Cal South, and Competitive Level Players from any league cannot participate in Rec, Rec Gold, or Select Programs to protect the fairness of competition.
