RESPECT Zero Tolerance Initiative

Working together with Cal South and our JUSA players, coaches, referees and parents, JUSA strives to build and maintain a fun and safe environment for ALL, to learn and enjoy the game of soccer.

Our governing body, Cal South, is generally seeing more incidents of racially charged, offensive, hurtful, and inappropriate language/actions within our soccer landscape.  The overall level of hostility and disrespect during games between opposing teams and towards match officials has increased nationwide.   No player, coach, parent or referee should ever feel threatened or unsafe playing the game of soccer in our, or any other league.

In August of 2024, the Cal South Referee Program introduced a “zero tolerance” policy against abuse, assault, and racism for all levels and participants in our soccer community.

OUR KEY PILLARS

  1. Show RESPECT for all players, coaches, referees, opponents, parents, and the game at all times.

  2.  Promote good sportsmanship through training and personal conduct; be the example!

  3.  Be positive and supportive and show kindness.

  4.  Always abide by the rules of the game.

  5.  Zero Tolerance for foul language or verbal abuse.

JUSA COMPLETE CODE OF CONDUCT

ALL PARENTS AGREE TO THIS CODE OF CONDUCT WHEN REGISTERING THEIR PLAYER. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE AGREED UPON REQUIREMENTS WILL RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION, WHICH MAY INCLUDE DISMISSAL FROM THE LEAGUE, EITHER FOR THE SEASON OR PERMANENTLY.
