WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! EARN $$$ and HOURS!

Ever wondered how those white lines appear on the soccer fields every weekend?  Our volunteers put them there! Without volunteers, our fields don't have lines!

A couple of years ago we started the Adopt-a-Field program. The idea behind it is a team takes responsibility for striping their home field (or another field) for an entire season. In return, JUSA will give you a $100 VISA gift card for every 7v7, 9v9, or 11v11 striped the entire season. A $50 gift card will be provided for each 4v4 field striped all season. All gift cards are awarded at the end of the season.  A high school student can earn 10-20 hours in just 9 weeks!

JUSA provides all equipment; the painting machine and paint.

Some things to note about adopting a field for the season:

  • Fields must be striped on either Thursday, Friday or Saturday morning before the 9:00 am games. The paint will be faded if it is done before Thursday.
  • School fields can ONLY be striped after school hours. They cannot be striped during school hours.
  • You may sign up for a field that is NOT your home field if you like. i.e. one that is close to your home.
  • The smaller 4v4 fields are a two field sign-up. They are very small.
  • If you sign up for a field, you are responsible for striping it for the entire season. Please keep in mind you will have some home games and some away games at different locations. If you travel away one weekend, you are still responsible for striping the field you signed up for.

Fields that do not get adopted by a team will be assigned a two week striping rotation for the teams that play on it.

Painting machine and paint can be picked up at the JUSA office. The office is open on Mon/Wed/Fri from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Smaller 4v4 - 7v7 fields take 4-5 cans of paint per week. Larger 9v9 - 11v11 fields take 8-9 cans per week. Each line on a field should be painted twice (once in each direction). That way paint gets on both sides of the blades of grass...or dirt!

No volunteers, no lines on the fields - we can't do it without YOUR help!  Thank you!
